Thanks to Linda & Bob Sanet, I ordered a prism set from Spain that is ideal for probing performance changes with the introduction of compensatory prism or yoked prism combinations. I recently began to use it in my new consulting practice, emphasizing lenses and prisms, and can highly recommend it. Divine is not its name; it’s just what it is.
The set is incredibly lightweight, flexible, and beautifully etched so that you instantly identify the base direction.
The prisms can be quickly interchanged, and the base direction readily changed.
If your Spanish is good, you can go straight to the Optomat website and order it. If you’d like to communicate with the set’s inventor, Anita Blanco, you can email her directly at: antiablanco.optometrista@gmail.com.
so happy you are pleased with it. I am going to forward the blog to Antia.
Absolutely! Thanks again, Linda.
So glad you are emphasizing lenses. Vision therapy without lenses isn’t vt. Not learning this in most optometry schools.
🙂
The website can be easily translated into English by clicking the box that appears in the upper right:

There are 2 sets available: one with 6 pairs of prism and one with 13. Each comes with 2 frames and a case to hold the set.
The set of 6 includes pairs of prisms of 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4 diopters – cost is 376 euro
The set of 13 includes pairs of 0.25, 0.50, 1.0, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15 – cost is 707 euro
You can also purchase frames + loose prisms+ an empty case to make up your own set if you don’t want one of the pre-made kits.
Each frame is 35 euro, each pair of prisms is ~25 euro (depends on the power). The empty cases are available for 62 euro (holds up to 6 pairs and 2 frames), or 82 euro (for up to 13 pairs and 2 frames).
I am not sure what the shipping fee plus taxes (IVA) will be.
You should contact Antia Blanco to help you with the order. She speaks English quite well.
Her e-mail is:antiablanco.optometrista@gmail.com.
Thank you, Linda, for posting that additional information.
Wish that they were available when I was in practice.
Looks great. Thank you for the photos, too. Now if someone could just make a REAL user friendly trial frame, I could die a happy optometrist. haha
Wow! I’d like to have that.! I hope its not easily loose the prism especialy when a child uses it.
