Prior to receiving an email from a mum in the UK, the only voice from London I had heard sing Against All Odds was Phil Collins.
I receive enquiring emails from around the world, and many of them remain at the level of casual conversation or exchange of information. But the one I received from Dana Latter particularly resonated with me, and it became part of the Foreword I wrote to our collaborative effort.
Against the Odds became the book that Dana and I have co-authored, and it is now available for pre-order on Amazon, due to be released on June 18. Its chapter titles are:
- Love At First Sight
- Floortime
- Primitive Reflexes
- Therapeutic Listening
- Vision Therapy
- Home Schooling
- Therapists
- All In The Family
Dana and I anticipate that many parents and professionals will find the contents of the book informative and inspiring. Each chapter tells the odyssey, struggles, and ultimate triumphs of Dana’s family, spiced with my observations and comments in boxed format.
We’re excited about this contribution to the broader community of parents who courageously share their experiences. You may want to consider it as your “Thanksgiving Gift” to parents and professionals this year. It was Michele Hillman of Vision Therapy Parents Unite who sparked this collaboration, and we are indebted to her for this as well as the phenomenal work she does in managing the VTPU Facebook group. Looking forward to the release of Against the Odds next week!
Placed my order. Thanks.
